Land Baron Investments, headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, was founded by Michael Chernine and Randy Black Jr., in 1992. They both spent the beginning years of their real estate careers at Nevada Tile Company, which is where they first met in 1988. Mike entered into the title department and Randy into the escrow division; it was at Nevada Title that they gained a fundamental understanding of real estate principals and saw of future for themselves in the industry. Their success started with a small land deal they facilitated with private capital raised from relatives. This initial investment returned $250,000 in six months and set the standard of performance that Land Baron still relies on today. The partnership quickly evolved into a much more comprehensive relationship with significant implications for Land Baron’s growth.
